Somethin' Stupid is a free writing companion that takes any snippet — a comment you're about to post, a caption, a paragraph of an email, or a line you copied from social media — and rewrites it so it carries a different cultural sensibility, the voice of a famous author or artist, or a specific emotional tone. You keep the meaning; you change the feeling. The tool works in 33 languages, spanning the world's most spoken tongues and the most spoken languages of Europe, so you can reshape text in the language you actually write in.
How to use it
Paste or type your text in the box above. Then pick any combination of a Culture, an Author, and a Tone and press Update. Leave an option on "None" to skip it. Mixing a culture with an author and a tone produces the most striking rewrites: try a plain product announcement rewritten with Japanese cultural restraint, in the voice of Emily Dickinson, with a mesmerized tone. The Author menu is grouped by culture (English first), but you are not limited to it — choose “Other — type any name” at the bottom and enter any author, in any culture.
